The Brand La Quesera (The Cheesemaker in Spanish) is the result of a partnership with two producers exclusive to Les Dépendances. Spain offers more than just its world reknown Manchegos, it is also known for producing tart and herbaceous cheeses. Here's a new cheese to add to our exclusive selection.
Oveja Demonia La Quesera is made with a typically Spanish preparation called Mojo. This is a condiment made with jalapeno pepper. Due to their high chilli content, most types of Mojo are hot, including the one used for this cheese. Typical of the Canary Islands (Spain), it is an essential accompaniment to many of the archipelago's dishes.
This cheese is made from pasteurised sheep's milk and matures for 4 months.
FLAVOUR: Delicate notes of sheep's milk, perfectly balanced with the spiciness of the Mojo.
HOW TO TASTE IT: On a platter with other variations from the range, as a snack or in your favourite Spanish recipe.
It goes well with olives and a red or white Spanish Rioja.
